I had the opportunity to spend some time with my Mom and Dad last week because my Dad was in the hospital. I was blessed to be there and love on my parents. God always teaches me something when I am open to listen. I was there at the hospital most of the week. Here is what I saw……Love. I saw my Mom tirelessly sit with and take care of my Dad. I saw my sister, working her job, coming to the hospital tired and still loving on me and my parents. I saw my parents’ pastor come to the hospital and pray with them. I saw my mom and dad’s friends from church come and love on them. I saw my aunt and uncle come and do the same. I saw my mom’s neighbors bring food and gifts. What I saw was Love.
1 Corinthians 13…..love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
It is always great to see love up close and personal.
