I Can See Clearly Now

Just a short note on the New Year. One thing I have been praying for is clarity. Clarity on my own spiritual walk, my role and husband and father, and as the pastor of Williamstown Baptist Church. Sometimes when life us busy, health is struggling and Satan is on the attack, everything can look fuzzy and cloudy and foggy.

Well the fog has lifted! What has happened to me recently is a renewed sense of peace, comfort and hope. The presence of the Holy Spirit and my willingness to submit to God has brought about a renewed vision and clarity that is simply amazing and challenging.

When we see clearly, we not only see the hope of now and the future, we see the work that needs to be done. We see the dirt in corner that has been overlooked. We see the scars and the stains of past mistakes. We see the hard work to get to where we want to be. It is challenging but also envigorating.

This new year brings about so much possibility and so much hard work to do. I stand confident becasue the fog has lifted, the sun is out and the presence of the Lord is evident.

May God help you get out of the haze and into the glorious light of his grace and salvation!

I am a husband to the best wife in the world, father to the best sons in the world, have pastored some of the best people in the world and taught some of the best students in the world. Oh and I am loved by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords....Jesus Christ. I would say life is good.

  1. Amen Pastor and my brother in the Spirit. Christ brings clarity to those earnestly seeking it.. Through life’s trials, sicknesses, disappointments, misguided teachings, and other things that have happened in my life, I had to return to Christ as a child as He states we have to be like. Open ears and mindful to the wisdom He gives us to follow, Knowledge of how to apply such wisdom in changing and reforming our lives to be Christ like. With the ability to listen to God’s call for what HE WANTS from us. Using His gifts He has given us to promote HIS KINGDOM, not our kingdoms. At the same time realizing we will always continue growing in the spirit with joy and blessings as we triumph over the evils of the days. LUKE 6:47 STATES, “Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, AND DOETH THEM, I (JESUS) will shew you to whom he is like.” Our first step in building a spiritual walk must always first have Christ as our foundation. May we always seek and knock on our Father’s door and ask for His CLEAR WISDOM in everything we do. Last but not the least, PRAY FOR HIS WILL TO BE DONEl, not ours, in our lives, jobs, our church, our community, our families, friends, worship and service to HIM. +
