I took this picture while on route from Colorado Springs, CO to Parker, Colorado where I now live. The picture reminds me of how God puts us on different roads and in different directions in our service to him. I honestly never thought we would ever live and serve in Colorado. However without reservation, I know he called me to Cornerstone Church and am excited at what He has called me to do!
I have revamped this blog to focus on Bible study, Discipleship and Leadership. These three areas are central to my ministry at Cornerstone Church. I am the Assistant Pastor focusing on Education and Leadership. This blog is an attempt to have a place of information, education and motivation. The title of the blog, Making Us Wise, comes from 2 Timothy 3:15, which reads; “an how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” I believe it is through the inerrant Word of God that reveals the Gospel and the work of our Lord which in turn leads us to His saving grace.
My hope is to offer insights, helps and links to leadership, Bible Study and Discipleship. I have a strong belief that all of us need increased time in the Word and knowledge of the Word and that will change our lives. D.L. Moody is known to have said, “The Scriptures were not given to increase our knowledge but to change our lives.”
As I seek to lead our church to this reality, I pray God gives all of us a renewed passion for the Holy Scripture that will make us wise!
