Last night my son’s football team, the Highland Ranch Eagles, won a preseason tournament. They celebrated after with a great sense of accomplishment and admiration for each other and their effort, 4 games in 2 days.
They played hard, were coached by great men and achieved a great reward. Mission accomplished. This is Cameron’s first time playing football and is fortunate enough to be on a great team. He is learning the game, making friends and growing in his skill every day. I am certainly a proud Dad!
I also went to a Bible Study at my church yesterday. We had a great lesson on Creation from Psalm 104 and considered how creative, powerful and majestic our God is. When I see the mountains each morning on my drive to work I am in awe. It was great to sit with some of God’s people and hear a great lesson from a great teacher and be a part of a team of people looking to learn more about God. We prayed, laughed, learned and shared a great hour together. Mission accomplished! We were encouraged to trust the Lord a little more yesterday.
If you are not a part of a Bible Study, find one! Be a part of a team of people that love the Lord, trust His word and seek to grow in faith. You will not be sorry. Check with your pastor or church leadership and find a place to connect to the Lord and His Church.
Cameron won a championship yesterday, I and many others studied God’s word together and grew closer to him. All in All a great day.
Blessings. See you in Bible Study!
